Multiple Disadvantage Day
10.30am - 3.30pm at Nottingham
Nottingham
03.07.2019
10.30am - 3.30pm
To mark the first national Multiple Disadvantage Day, the 12 Fulfilling Lives projects across England will be holding a series of coordinated events on Wednesday 3rd July 2019. They will highlight the true stories of people experiencing multiple and complex challenges, which have led them to face severe disadvantage and marginalisation within society.
The events will be an inclusive mix of social and creative activities, co-produced at a local level to ensure the voices of lived experience are heard. The focus of events will be to promote an understanding of social disadvantages as a complex web of challenges, which prevent people from accessing the support they need and deserve. The impact of stigma and discrimination will also be explored.
Opportunity Nottingham will be hosting an exhibition at Nottingham Contemporary from 10.30am until 3.30pm on the day. For more details about this event and others around the country, visit the Multiple Disadvante Day website. This event is free and there is no need to book.
