Careers magazine ‘Decisionz’ expands across Derbyshire

Posted 13.07.2020

After their great success in Nottinghamshire, Decisionz magazine is now being distributed to pupils across Derbyshire!

At the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, Decisionz magazine was approached by the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership to discuss how year 11 students across Derbyshire could be better supported with regards to their post-16 plans.  Decisionz responded immediately to the demand and developed a new Derbyshire magazine that is totally free for schools and their students.  The new Derbyshire e-mag is also set to include a special SEND feature aimed at supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and their parents.  This is being developed in partnership with the D2N2 LEP and Careers Hubs in collaboration with a steering group of key stakeholders across the locality.

Decisionz is the local careers and advice magazine for year 11 students in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, jam-packed with useful articles and careers information.  The magazine aims to support students to make the right decisions and helps schools to achieve Gatsby benchmark 2.

Sponsored by Nottingham City Council and working in partnership with the D2N2 LEP, Careers Hubs and National Careers Week, Decisionz magazine is well-valued by readers, and helps over 11,000 year 11 students across Nottinghamshire and over 7,500 students across Derbyshire.  The digital magazine is released three times per year, with one magazine per term in January, May and September.

Secondary schools who haven’t yet signed up to receive the magazine can find out more, and sign up now at www.decisionz.co.uk/for-schools.  Organisations wanting to attract more young people can find out more about advertising opportunities at www.decisionz.co.uk/advertise-with-us.

BBO is having a significant impact on individual lives, supporting people to increase their confidence, independence and achieve their employment aspirations.
