Children's Commissioner publishes first edition of Children's Insights - what they do and think

Posted 05.11.2019

The role of the Children’s Commissioner is to be the ‘eyes and ears’ of children in England.  What do children care about? What’s on their minds? What are they talking about? This first edition of the Children’s Insights series will start to answer these questions. It will identify the latest trends in games, social media, foods, what children want for their birthdays and what they like to do in their free time.

Using the latest research, the thoughts, worries and experiences of all children will be highlighted. This report is also for the children themselves – putting a spotlight on what those everyday issues look like for the most vulnerable kids.

In this issue, children say they feel they are not heard by politicians, express their concerns for the environment and their worries for the future.

BBO is having a significant impact on individual lives, supporting people to increase their confidence, independence and achieve their employment aspirations.
