Community Grants - round 1 funded projects

The Community Grants programme is aimed at organisations that are community based and can deliver projects that help to support people into further education and employment.  Voluntary and community sector organisations can apply for a grant of between £5000 and £20000 to deliver community based projects, right at the heart of their community.  The Community Grants programme is jointly funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency and the European Social Fund.

Round 1 of the Community Grants closed in May 2019.  Six projects in Derby/Derbyshire and 10 projects in Nottingham/Nottinghamshire were funded in round 1.  These projects all finish on 31/12/2019.

The application’s window for round 2 has now closed, with 17 applications received from Derby/Derbyshire and 23 applications received from Nottingham/Nottinghamshire.

Fearless Youth Association offers young people that have already been identified as at-risk an opportunity to improve their ability to develop a positive attitude towards their future. The long-term goal is to empower the young person to break the habits that are leading to trouble in school and in the streets.
