Posted 07.10.2019

Since March 2015 the current ERDF programme in England, delivered by the European Programmes and Local Growth Delivery directorate at Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, has been supporting projects across the country which boost business development and innovation and support local growth. Working closely with a broad range of partners, including Local Enterprise Partnerships, Local Authorities, Universities, other Government departments and the private sector, £1,969 million of ERDF funding has been awarded to 754 projects (as of 31 August 2019), all of which are subject to ongoing evaluation – the programme has a total worth of £3.3 billion.

All projects featured within this booklet have been part funded through ERDF with contributions ranging from a few hundred thousand pounds to tens of millions – ERDF contributions are often half of the total project value although this can vary. The booklet aims to provide a snapshot of the wide ranging business support activity the programme continues to support.

The case study booklet includes 2 ERDF funded programmes in the D2N2 LEP area – Instills and Big House.
