Welcome to Mike Reid - our new Stakeholder Manager for Derby City

Posted 05.01.2021

In September our Derby City Building Better Opportunities Stakeholder Manager, Sabina Talib, left the role and moved in to a new exciting opportunity as Principle Employment & Skills Manager for Derby City Council.

We have now appointed a new Stakeholder Manager, Mike Reid, who we are excited to announce started in the role on 4th January 2021.

We would like to welcome Mike, who we believe will be a great asset to the team. Mike’s background lends itself to the role as he has left a position at the University of Derby working within the Grads for D2N2 European Social Fund programme helping to increase the attraction, recruitment, and retention of graduates within high skilled jobs in Derby, and has a background in working with stakeholders across the health and employment setting, managing client relations within the Nottingham University Hospital Trust; skills which will allow him to hit the ground running in this role!

Mike is keen to start and raring to make headways across Derby City. Please introduce yourself to Mike in the new year – Mike.Reid@derby.gov.uk.

BBO is having a significant impact on individual lives, supporting people to increase their confidence, independence and achieve their employment aspirations.
