National Citizen Service - Autumn Moving Forward Programme

Posted 17.09.2020

National Citizen Service (NCS) is an opportunity that helps 16-17 year olds build skills for work and life, embark on new challenges, meet new people and contribute to their local community.  NCS is free of charge this year and is open to all young people aged 16 and 17 years old.

Autumn is going to be a little different this year at NCS, but young people will still get the opportunity to take part even if they did Keep Doing Good this summer. NCS are offering exciting opportunities and activities to take part in.

There are 4 phases to the NCS Moving Forward Autumn programme:

  • Phase 1 – activities and workshops that will develop teamwork skills, step outside comfort zones and have fun
  • Phase 2 – take part in activities to understand the local community and wellbeing
  • Phase 3 – deliver a social action project, volunteering to help the local community
  • Phase 4 – celebrate achievements and accomplishments

BBO is having a significant impact on individual lives, supporting people to increase their confidence, independence and achieve their employment aspirations.
