Our Recruiting Talent in Nottinghamshire virtual conference took place via the Collab Virtual World on Wednesday 17th March 2021.  Over 100 organisations joined us at the event that brought together experts who can support businesses to change the way they recruit and retain staff, accessing a wider pool of talent available locally and contributing to greater productivity.

The event included keynote speeches from our D2N2 Local Economic Partnership, Nottinghamshire County Council, Department for Work & Pensions, Vision West Notts College and TTK Confectionery.

DWP – Jean Sharpe, District Operational Lead, talked about the impact of COVID-19 on DWP services.  The number of clients for Job Centre Plus (Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland) has doubled with 58,000 new clients, of which 12,000 are young people.  An additional 300 work coaches have been recruited.
