Talk Money Week 18-22 November 2019

Posted 01.11.2019

Stakeholder Managers play an active part in the development of financial inclusion strategies across D2N2.  This month we highlight the national Talk Money Week (formerly Financial Capability Week).  This annual event is part of the Financial Capability Strategy for the UK and aims to get more people talking about money.

The annual celebration highlights the work thousands of organisations are doing to improve money management across the UK.

The goal of Talk Money Week is to turn talking about money from one of the UK’s least favourite topics of conversation into something that becomes as natural and familiar as talking about the weather.

If all of us take a little time to talk and follow up on our conversations by changing our habits or getting advice, think of the millions of pounds we’ll save, the bad money decisions we’ll avoid and how much better we’ll feel – in just a few days.

Talk Money, Talk Pensions Week is coming on 18-22 November 2019.

Throughout the week organisations will:

  • encourage their customers to talk about money
  • showcase their services
  • lead the charge to make their work more effective by turning evidence of what works into action at scale
