Posted 01.04.2020

The Trussell Trust has responded to the Budget 2020, during which the Chancellor announced a number of changes to the benefits system.  The Trussell Trust supports a nationwide network of food banks which provides emergency food and support to people locked in poverty; and campaigns for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.

The Trussell Trust welcomes the Chancellor’s announcement of extra financial support but says the five week wait for Universal Credit is trapping many people in to debt and poverty.
